The Artificer’s Guild

The mortal followers of Tharmir are not merely worshippers; they are craftsmen, inventors, and pioneers who seek to push the boundaries of what is possible. The Artificer’s Guild, also known as the Forged Order, is a vast brotherhood of smiths, engineers, alchemists, and rune-weavers who see the act of creation as both devotion and duty.   Unlike other faiths, the Guild does not operate through temples or churches. Instead, its "holy sites" are forges, workshops, and academies where knowledge is passed down, innovations are tested, and masterpieces are forged. These guildhalls serve as centers of learning, where apprentices are taught the sacred techniques of metallurgy, arcane inscription, and mechanical invention.   The Guild follows the Tenets of the Forge, a sacred code that embodies Tharmir’s ideals:
  • Perfection is never finished – Always strive to refine your craft.
  • Effort is the mark of devotion – Worship is found in the labor of your hands.
  • Build with purpose, or not at all – Thoughtless invention is wasteful and hollow.
  • Failure is a lesson, not a defeat – Break, reforge, and become stronger.
  • Respect the hands of all craftsmen – No art is lesser, no creator unworthy of learning.
Among the most sacred artifacts of the Guild are The Masterworks—legendary creations that are said to carry the touch of Tharmir himself. These artifacts are not merely relics but challenges, for the Guild believes that if a mortal can surpass a Masterwork, they may earn the god’s personal blessing.   While many see the Artificer’s Guild as a force of innovation and progress, they are not without their zealots. Some factions, such as the Forgebound, believe that imperfection must be purged, and they have been known to destroy flawed works, dismantle inefficient inventions, and even shatter relics that do not meet their impossible standards. To them, anything less than perfection is an insult to Tharmir, and they will go to extreme lengths to maintain the purity of the craft.
