Session 1 - 6/26/19 - Matt's Group
General Summary
The group started in Saltmarsh at the Adventurers' Association Regional Office. Flapjack Tallahassee called a meeting to discuss orientation for the first incoming group of adventurers. Unfortunately, Tallahassee was late.
While waiting, Anders Solmor recruited the group to perform the investigation Flapjack Tallahassee was supposed to perform, as it could no longer wait for his arrival. Recent disappearances around a supposedly haunted house down the coast, and stories of ghosts and undead are causing disruption in the town. Anders was requesting a investigation job from the Adventurer's Association, and our group of new initiates just so happened to be the only ones available to take the job.
Travel to the house took a few hours, with some residents warning the group that no one who went to the house returns, alive. A small child was thoroughly confused at the groups eagerness to die.
Once there, the party quickly realized their detective skills were extremely lacking. "Investigating" the Garden of the house, they accidently stepped on a den of large weasels. Our adventurers did a valiant job of chopping the garden to pieces, and eventually hitting the weasels as well.
While searching for the weasels treasure horde, Ghost tied a rope around his waste and handed it to 'Mad Eyes' Jack , then blindly did a very poorly performed backflip into a nearby well, dazing himself as he dropped. 'Mad Eyes' Jack was quick to react and catch Ghost, which only led to him being held mid-well between a couple of large poisonous snakes. After being dragged out and revived, ghost jumped back down again, and with the aid if his companions killed the snakes before disappearing from the party.
Investigation of the most un-stealthy kind proceeded, as the party broke down doors, made loud cannon sounds out of magic, and otherwise made a ton of noise as they investigated the first floor of the house. Eventually they found a trapdoor, that said scary words loudly to them, but it did not stop them from proceeding. Finding a living quarters with freshly cooking food and other signs of life, they continued to bash chests and make loud noises until they were surprisingly ambushed. Barely surviving this encounter, and another one with hideous flesh eating monsters inhabitting and empty suit of armor, the party proceeds to investigate the Haunted House.
This house holds many secrets. What will the players uncover next week?
