Rule Changes
The Ecari campaign is based on the D&D 5e ruleset. It comes however with some limitations, adjustments and extensions.
You can look up the core rules in the Player's Handbook or on many websites such as DnD Beyond .
Races
The only playable race are the
Elves, with their three subraces / ethnicities.
If you would like to play a different race, please read through the pages describing the world, and if you can see something else making sense, try and talk me into it.
I wholly support the custom origin creation steps described in Tasha's Cauldron of Everything as well as Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft.
Classes
Playable classes are:
- Barbarian
- Cleric (make sure to check out the available Pantheon )
- Druid (make sure to check out the available Pantheon)
- Fighter
- Monk
- Paladin (make sure to check out the available Pantheon)
- Ranger
- Rogue
- Sorcerer
- Warlock (make sure to check out the available Pantheon)
- Wizard
No bards. There is no source of magic for their inspiration and entertainment based spells.
No artificer.
Also available are:
Backgrounds
No other world (e.g. Faerûn) exclusive backgrounds, such as Golgari Agent, Haunted One, Uthgardt Tribe Member or Far Traveler.
Adjustments can be made.
If no pre-existing background fits your character, feel free to hit me up to create a custom one together.
