Emperor of Ruthoria

The title given to the current ruler of the Ruthorian Empire. This title as long as it's existed has carried along with the political power a divine blessing of great power from the goddess Erathis.

Requirements

You must be the eldest male child of the emperor at the time of the emperor's death.

Appointment

The title is conferred by ceremony. The ceremony consists of placing the crown of the previous Ruthorian emperor atop the new emperor's head, the ceremony theoretically could not happen without the crown.

Duties

A Ruthorian emperor must establish order and keep the peace, by force if necessary. They are also expected but not required to protect the Ruthorian people from any threat that may seek to harm them or their way of life. Additionally, the emperor is expected to manage law enforcement despite the fact that he doesn't get to make the actual laws.

The emperor of Ruthoria has complete dominance in almost any political situation besides the creation and interpretation of laws which is done by the Church of Erathis. The emperor also gets full access to the Ruthorian empire's military. Apart from all that is the divine boon granted by Erathis to whoever holds the title of the emperor and is said to grant great divine magical power.

Sense whoever holds the tile is blessed with great power by Erathis, the title of emperor holds great cultural and political power in the Ruthorian empire, an empire which primarily worships Erathis as their main deity.
