Treaty of Thronehold
The Treaty of Thronehold or the Thronehold Accords is the treaty, signed in the former Galifaran capital city Thronehold in 996 YK, mainly between the surviving four of the Five Nations, which formally ended the Last War and established the peacetime system of states that now exist across Khorvaire.
The secular holiday of Thronehold recognizes the signing date of 11 Aryth 996 YK, and the official end of the Last War.
The treaty divided Kingdom of Galifar into its constituent nations, and recognized a number of former vassals of the Five Nations as sovereign nations. The treaty recognized twelve nations: Aundair, Breland, Karrnath, and Thrane along with the new nations of Darguun, the Eldeen Reaches, the Lhazaar Principalities, the Mror Holds, Q'Barra, the Talenta Plains, Valenar, Zilargo.
Cyre and Droaam were not represented at this treaty, and are not recognized as nations. Additionally, Droaam, the Demon Wastes, Mournland, and the Shadow Marches are not recognized as nations.
Amongst the provisions of the Treaty of Thronehold were the emancipation of Warforged and the banning of the Creation Forges. The treaty also established the Tribunal of Thronehold to prosecute war crimes during the Last War. The treaty determined national boundaries, reparations for the war, the legal status of the warforged, the shutting down of the creation forges operated by House Cannith, and the declaration of the city of Throneport as neutral ground accessible to every nation but governed by none (though the castle itself remains governed by the Throne Wardens of House Deneith). The Throne Wardens themselves advocated for declaring the city of Throneport to be neutral ground.
The Treaty empowers the Sentinel Marshals to pursue fugitives and war criminals across national boundaries for the twelve signatory nations. The accords also give the Sentinel Marshals a role in enforcing the Treaty itself.
