Foalswood

Foalswood is the ancestral estate and headquarters of House Vadalis , located at Varna in the Eldeen Reaches.

The estate lies just outside the city, sprawling over many acres of the rolling hills, with an enclave at the heart of the city as well.

The largest ranch run by House Vadalis, it comprises a collection of homes, barns, and warehouses that are tucked away among the hills, as well as greenhouses for rare and exotic plants and countless acres of pastures and meadows in which animals are allowed to wander. Thus, while it has the fewest people of any dragonmarked house headquarters and is in sharp contrast to their well-defended strongholds, it is likely the largest in area.

The largest building on the reach—at least the largest intended for human habitation—is the great meeting house. It's commonly joked that the stables of Varna are nicer than the houses, and this isn't altogether false—the personal quarters of even the Vadalis patriarch are relatively modest.
