Eldritch Machines

Eldritch machines are a type of wondrous location constructed by powerful mages or artificers.

Eldritch machines are large and powerful magical devices with a wide array of applications. Examples of eldritch machines include the Creation Forges of House Cannith, or the dimensional seals used by the Gatekeepers to protect Eberron from the Daelkyr.

Many eldritch machines require special components or locations to function, and are often difficult to operate. They are generally stationary, due to their large size making them difficult to move.

In some cases, certain eldritch machines might require specific conditions or components to function. This could include being constructed in a manifest zone while two or more planes are coterminous, during a conjunction of the Moons of Eberron, or even that must be constructed on a holiday such as Long Shadows. Some eldritch machines dating back to the Age of Giants discovered in Xen'drik even use Prophecy marks as a form of power.
