Forgotten Relics, Part 3 Report

General Summary

• If the group wants to help Kaden d'Orien and the twelve Cyran warforged, they need to get down to Old Sharn.
• They check out the lift mentioned by Alden d'Orien's valet, Vishti, and discover two women making out. Vinny declares that the group is here to fix the lift, the women leave, and then Vinny actually does manage to repair the lift with the help of his thieves' tools.
• They descend all the way down into Old Sharn, where they stumble upon a group of goblins who immediately attack.
• Behind the group of goblins are eleven of the warforged. The twelfth, Razor, has been killed.
• During the melee, Vinny runs into a shed and discovers Kaden d'Orien. Vinny picks the locks of the boy's manacles, before realizing that there's some sort of toxin on them. He passes out.
• After making short work of the goblins, Ix heads into the shed and revives Vinny. Ebb speaks with the warforged.
• They tell him that after digging up some sort of chest, they were kept down here by the goblins and a bugbear foreman who is currently away.
• Razor was killed as punishment for telling his partner, Coal, about the whole operation.
• The group takes the warforged up to the Lower Ward, and Ebb gives them all some gold. Their defacto leader, Anvil, promises to meet the group at the [Cog Carnival] later that night.
• When the doors open on the Lower Ward, a bugbear is standing in wait. The warforged immediately start chasing him.
• The trio brings Kaden back to his father. "I guess I should return your gold," Vinny says. "I didn't keep my promise." d'Orien gives them an additional 50 galifars as reward.
• Kaden tells them that the last thing he heard the bugbear and Garra saying was that the half-ogre would be "leaving town".
• When the group leaves, they plan on heading down to Terminus to see if they can find Garra. They're surprised to see Sergeant Vilroy operating a skycoach. She invites them on, informing them that the Sharn Watch is meeting up in Terminus to capture Garra.
• Vinny is a little suspicious, and tries to claim that Coal, the warforged that Vilroy initially wanted them to bring to her, wasn't in the city. But Vilroy knows he's lying, and asks the others. Ebb doesn't lie.
• Then Vinny notices something odd about Vilroy. In the eyes. He's pretty sure she's not the same Vilroy they spoke with earlier that day. But something about his body language gives it away, and the impostor decides to jump ship. She scrambles over the railing of the coach, activating a Feather Token and then revealing herself to be a changeling.
