Personal history

Vinny's mom, niece to Saidan Boromar and member of House Jorasco (she was Dragonmarked), married his dad, a fresh-off-the-lightning-rail Talenta halfling. It caused a stir, because she broke an engagement with a more respectable suitor that would have meant a nice alliance for the Boromar clan, so there was a lot of bad blood.
Vinny and his father served as scouts during the Last War, and his mom served as a healer. After the war ended, Vinny returned to Sharn, learned that both parents were likely killed, and that he was guardian to his younger siblings. He reached out to his Boromar relatives, and started taking jobs, which eventually got too hot for him. He made some contacts with the WKI and was hoping to transition away from his life of crime, when a Boromar job went south, he lost something valuable, and now he's stuck paying off a pretty sizeable debt.
