Mantle of Ja'Shriin
Told of now only in goblinoid legend, the mantle of Ja’Shriin was the regalia that marked the Emperor of the ancient Dhakaani Empire.
Said to have been forged over 10,000 years ago, the mantle consisted of masterfully crafted black iron pauldrons and gorget, and darkened by its forging to the blackest of nights so that all would the Emperor spoke from above the heavens themselves. So deep and dark was its luster that many myths speak of it turning blades of assassins, captivating lovers and even stealing the souls of those trying to deceive or hoodwink the Emperor, their false words, eyes and then minds being drawn into its blacked depths.
It’s creation is now woven with the creation myth of the empire itself, forged by the greatest smyths of the age to honour the first Emperor.Its black firmament was embossed with a constellation of seven gems, each from one of the seven goblinoid clans that swore fealty to create the Empire.
- From the Kaarund of the North, the sapphire Muuvi’ra. Said to be able to calm the shifting seas of their home and bequeath the tranquil precision of still waters.
- From the Marguul of the Mountains, the topaz Ka’griin. Said to be a ball of trapped lighting from the highest peak and and to give the tenacity for swift retribution.
- From the Bushoon of the West, the opal Nin’shaa. It’s swirling depths said to show what has passed and what can still be to the eye that can see it.
- From the Raa’kari of the South, the ruby Lagrii. Said to hold the embers of the first flame in ts glow and remind all that look on it of the lessons of the past.
- From the Graa of the Plains, the emerald Foo. Its verdant green mirroring the Empires bounty and honoured by both people and nature alike.
- From the Harruush of the West, the amethyst Caantu. It’s glorious purple pulling was said to pull at the heartstrings of all who saw it, stealing them together and calming disputes to match it’s perfect hue.
- From the Ghaal’dar of the towers, the diamond Shaarun. The greatest of the seven that was said to shine brighter than the stars, calling ever onward to greater heights of progress and glory.
