The Mist Walkers, accompanied by a small army of orcs attack the Bonetree Mound in an attempt to rescue Kalshana's friends. The leader of the Bonetree clan, Dah'mir, is revealed to be a dragon. The battle that follows devastates the Bonetree Clan, but it's a pyrrhic victory for the orcs of Fat Tusk. Dah'mir fled during the battle.
The remains of the Dhakaani hero, Kamvuul Norek, are stolen from the Zolanberg Museum.
Warden travels into the deep swamps with Batul, to an ancient druidic observatory. He attunes to the observatory, and observes a secret written in the Ring of Siberys, a fragment of the Draconic Prophecy. He exits the observatory as a Gatekeeper Initiate, and it awakens new powers within him.
Vennet d'Lyrandar hires the Tharashk bounty hunter, Kelarth d'Tharashk to capture the kalashtar Dandra. He tries and fails to capture her, and is captured by the Mist Walkers. They ship him off to Sharn on the Lightning on Water.
The Mist Walkers arrive in Vralkek by the Lightning on Water. They look for a guide to take them to Tzaryan Keep, and end up being invited to travel with Tzaryan Rrac's troops back to the keep.
The Mist Walkers, accompanied by an army of ogres, arrive at Tzaryan Keep.
Tzaryan betrays the party and they are captured by Dah'mir. The dragon acquires Taruuzh's binding stones and leaves Hruucan to kill the party.
The party arrives in Sharn via magical Oni wagon in pursuit of Dah'mir, to prevent him from shattering and enslaving the Kalashtar in Fan Adar
