Session 90: Six Magnates of Sharn
General Summary
- Ashpin went to mingle with the populace of Lower Dura. He spoke to them of what they wanted, and many said things similar to that of government programs, but some wished for Ashpin to go and do more heroic deeds, both in and out of Sharn. He also spoke to a disgruntled former Jorasco]. She told him about the disease outbreak - it caused persistent cough, fever, hallucinations, and blackened fingernails. It was transmitted through the air, and was moderately fatal, and very disruptive. The origin was tracked to foreign spores from a mutated mold growing in the steam vents and sewers, unlike any found before.
- Bagan was accosted by Albert Pennybiter, the former messagerunner of the true Anvilbenders in Mror Holds, amongst other parties. He is seen as a greasy swindler by some and an efficient businessman by others. He had settled into an important role in the Sharn Anvilbenders - it was he who had come up with and formulated the claim that the Anvilbender's territory in Lower Dura was sovereign, outside the jurisdiction of the Sharn government. Speaking of the territory, Albert brought Bagan to their new Master Forge - a converted House Cannith factory. Inside, it was chaos, and Bagan's surprising attempt to reign them in was unsuccessful.
- Frisian went to the Silver Flame temple with Philip and Ashpin, and met a grizzled half-elf named Ser Caldus Marrion. They spoke briefly, and Ser Caldus recognized immediately that Frisian was a lycanthrope. He said he had never seen someone like Frisian - a lycanthrope of the Silver Flame - but said that he knew such a thing could happen. However, Ser Caldus described the Lycanthropic Purge - a time where lycanthropes were nearly hunted to exctinction by templars of the Flame. And yet, though Ser Caldus said people he knew would strike Frisian down where he stood, he did not.
- N'nchyk and Dooturr went on a buddy cop adventure to investigate and destroy the source of the . Using N'nchyk's sticky boots, Dooturr traveled through the steam vents until he found a large patch of the fungi, right outside N'nchyks former ALP 567 residence. Dooturr was paralyzed for 7 minutes. N'nchyk blew the stuff up.
- Dooturr and N'nchyk went to Morgrave University. They had a productive / unproductive conversation with Professor Quillicarious, and Dooturr managed to snag one of his notebooks. When Professor Q heard about the mushroom-related disease outbreak, he sprinted for the exit, but N'nchyk Held him. Dooturr and N'cnhyk also spoke to Gorgu Bullhead, head of Natural Studies, regarding the cosmic disturbance
- N'nchyk spoke with Daphen and Squid. Paven and Naven, druids from the former Clifftop Adventurer's Guild, were there supervising.
- Theobald spoke to them, saying he discovered the Harbingers of Aegis were involved in the downfall of CAG, making claims about the guild that Theobald said were not true. Theobald hoped to find Torfe again someday, as CAG was his family's legacy.
