Cosmology
In the beginning, there were three god-like dragons of immeasurable power. These dragons created the planes of existence, and they created a space of reality for these planes to intersect: the Material Plane. The evil dragon, Khyber, attacked the good dragon, Sibyrus, and killed her; Sibyrus's essence was scattered throughout the cosmos. The neutral dragon, Eberron, wrapped around Khyber in order to contain this evil entity. Now Eberron is the planet we find ourselves on while Khyber is the darkness that lurks within.
