The Black Court

The Black Court is the isolated and relatively unknown government of the drow cities in the under dark. The Black Court has no official ties or diplomatic relations with any of the Kingdoms of Eatta, however the Black Court does seem to favor the King and Queen of Dunwarick of the Hezler blood line. This friendly relationship is rumored to have stated around the time the King and Queens adventuring days. But I digress now on to what is know about the Black Court.
The Drow or Dusk Elves as they are sometimes called are elves from the under dark. There is much speculation of the origins of the Drow but as of yet nothing conclusive has been found to support any theories. There are currently 5 major cities that owe loyalty to the Black Court. The Capitol and home of the Black Court is Mazzerban. It is the oldest and first city founded by the drow.
The Black Court is ruled over by the Black Queen, whose official title is as follows. Queen of the Black Court, Champion of the Black Crown and Conqueror of the Spider throne Matron of Mazzerban. It is unknown if this is a title that every Black Queen had or unique to the current Black Queen. The Black Queen is aided in her rule by the Black Consolers. It is believed that the Black Queen appoints her counsels as she needs and they act in an advisory role some can be appointed to advise in specific roles or capacities. The Queens personal guard and enforcers of her will are Know as the Black Guard, these is a elite fighting force with in Drow society and have the authority to enforce the queens will. The Black Queen also appoints the leaders of the 4 cities know as Matrons, as the leaders of a city is female and is part of a bloodline appointed by the Black Court when the city's were first founded.
As of writing the only city open to non drow is the city of trade. - (elven historian Krisna Majet)

The Black Queen is the absolute ruler of the Drow cities and Matron of Mazzerban. She is advised by the Black Consolers who she appoints as advisers or to for fill as specific role as she dictates.  The Queens personal guard and enforcers of her will are Know as the Black Guard, these is a elite fighting force with in Drow society and have the authority to enforce the queens will. Matrons are the rulers of the cities appointed by the Black Queen these Matrons are more often female and from the bloodline of the first Matrons.

To enforce the rule of law and keep order in the Cities of the Black Court. Hunt down the followers of the Blood God.

Religion

The Spider Queen, is the deity is worshiped by the drow.  Her symbol is a bow and a spider.
She is the drow goddess of knowledge, archery and retribution.

Thirst for knowledge and seek it where ever you can.

Foreign Relations

The Black Court has no official relations with non Drow kingdoms however their is some communication between the Black Court and the KCMA. There seems to be more friendly relationship between The Black Court and unwarick.

Mythology & Lore

In the beginning the drow lived in a paradise. Then came the endless storms and the drow retreated underground to escape the storms because they left  the surface they were abandoned by the goddess of the surface. In the darkness of the under dark the drow faced many trials but they found salvation in the form of a goddeses the Spider Queen. The Spider Queen lead the Drow to a large cavern that was safe from the dangers of the under dark. And there the Drow founded their first city and started to worship the Spider Queen.
