Military action

Rhanmar was one of the first cities that the dwarves built in the Black mountains. It was the western most city in that range and the first to bear the brunt of the First War when the dwarves retreated and pulled their tunnels down behind them.

When the dwarves retreated during the First War, they pulled the tunnels in after them. They never saw the elves use their magic to clear a path and flood their tunnels after them. Led by the Archmagus Erinvar Oleinden, the elves, over two thousand strong, fought the dwarves in their tunnels for over 10 years without reprieve. They finally pushed the dwarves out of the ruined city stronghold into the waiting maw of a dragon, only to be ambushed by those dwarves and defeated. The remaining elves fled back down into the ruined city as the dwarves took on the dragon. Of the twenty elves to flee, only 4 elves lived to see the sun again. Not one dwarf was heard from again.
