Monestary Of Adepts

Written by Salen

This good sized Monastery sits on the far side of Everloom, near the water. It was built in 71 SR as a place to train the first Healer Adepts that started showing up around that time. It is home to the Healer Adepts and is self sufficient in almost every aspect of living, only having to worry about bread for the week. The building is defended by a compliment of monks and the Healers on site.

Purpose / Function

The Monastery trains those people who have answered the call of the Healer Adept. They train those that wish to be trained in first aid, emergency aid in the field, and how to channel their new gift

Architecture

The building is made out of cut stone and has the influence of human artwork about it. Large windows, high ceilings, and golden colors permeate the structure.

History

Built after The third such person showed abilities of rapid healing without asking the ether (and being human) the First Healer Adept asked the lord for money to build it and was granted permission as long as any royal person got training for free. This gave the Healers a place to work in secret away from the prying eyes of the jealous elves and the gossip of the dwarves.

Secret Words

The long sought after secret words that all of the Healer Adepts murmur is actually quite funny. It's all gibberish. Long ago they noticed that the elves were trying to figure out how they do it. One of the instructors thought that maybe if they were talking, the elves would just assume that they were asking the elements and go away. Not so. Instead it drove them on to figure out exactly what they were saying. It was agreed upon that the secret would never be told, letting the elves wonder for eternity.
