The Crimson Kiss
Jix is a deity of trickery and temptation, though they are particularly known for their penchant for pacts and contracts - which never turn out well for their recipients. Jix's symbol is a pair of lips, representing the kiss which seals their dealings. Their followers tend to use stamps in this form, or apply makeup so that they may kiss their contracts themselves.
Jix's clerics are known as their
fences. Fences tend to blur the realm of the legal and illicit, dealing in stolen goods, wiping bounties, and lending money to those in need. In exchange, they demand extraordinary terms which effectively indenture their victims, making them pawns in their schemes. A guard captain, for instance, might be persuaded to pardon a criminal in exchange for a loan in dire times; that criminal, in turn, might terminate the rightful owner of a priceless art piece that has come into the cleric's possession. At the end of the day, temptation makes the web of tricks work, and Jix comes out the winner.
Jix's writings are contained in the
Libre Liberatio alongside those of their lovers
Khal and
Karnathra. Jix is the sibling of
Nes, though they are often at each other's throats, and the daughter of
Sola-Rin.
Merak and
Yerev are Jix's most adamant rivals, while
Ah'yelan is their closest companion.
