Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Clyde is a massive, muscular man with a large gut. He can give and take a hefty punch.

Personal history
Clyde spent his childhood under the thumb of abusive drunkard parents who firmly ingrained in him the "might is right" philosophy popular among Vinestans. He was taught to use his large stature to intimidate others, and did so with fervor. Clyde has always excelled in combat both vehicular and hand-to-hand. Even his injuries haven't prevented him from insisting upon taking the citizenship test every four years to prove his worth to Vinesta as well as to himself.
Education
Aside from elementary school, the only education Clyde has received is that of military training.
Employment
Began his working life at sixteen as a mechanic for the circuit. Then, at eighteen, trained in the military and worked as a mechanic there until he was honorably discharged at twenty-six for getting his leg smashed in a racing accident. After a brief recovery break, he went back to work for the circuit for the rest of his career, eventually starting his own combat racing team. He picked up a side-gig for the Rebellion when they came asking around for volunteers. Instead of putting him in the field, they asked him to be a recruitment officer in Vinesta. Now, he mostly works as a mechanic and team leader for the circuit, but he still goes out every morning to do PT with the recruits, despite his injuries.

Clyde won first in the combat racing circuit two seasons in a row.
Mental Trauma
Soon after Clyde was discharged, he found himself in a dark place. One night he decided to end it all and shot himself in the head. Fortunately, his aim wasn't exact and he only grazed his skull. He took this as a sign to man the hell up and return to work.
Intellectual Characteristics
While not the sharpest tool in the shed, Clyde's knowledge of mechanics is surpassed by none, and he can diagnose most car troubles within minutes.

His parents have long-sinced died, his mother to drowning and his father to being swallowed by a lava current, and he has no other relations.
