Type One Vampire

Basic Information

Anatomy

Humanoid in most aspects, these creatures possess two sets of fangs, which click into place over their canines and outer incisors. In certain circumstances, their irises and pupils glow red. Their blood is a darker red than the average human blood. They are the direct opposites of Celestials. Their adrenal glands are non-functional. Although they do not technically age, it is possible to find out how old they are even if dead. Also, due to the fact that only a few things can kill them - sunlight (in very large quantities) being the primary option - vampires don't die like humans do, making the cause of death the primary way of knowing a vampire isn't human.

Biological Traits

Much to the contrary of popular belief, vampires are not dead. However, their heart rate keeps an average bpm of 20. All vampires take on a deathly/waxy sheen due to lack of sunlight.

Genetics and Reproduction

Vampires are unable to breed with each other and are required to turn humans through blood to blood contact (Or things like organ transplants). However, they can reproduce with humans which produces a half-breed.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Vampires drink human blood, from which they get vitamin D (usually from sunlight) and adrenaline.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Vampires possess enhanced healing, agility, speed, strength, stamina and senses. A few also hold other abilities, which vary from kinetic abilities to physical shifting powers.

Civilization and Culture

Major Organizations

Vampire Clans - The majority of T1 Vampires are in one or more vampire clan.   Some vampires choose to strike out on their own and become lone vampires, but it is not very common due to their strict systems. Vampires which do go their own way must first undergo a set of trails before they can be considered 'free', including the breaking of their sire bond.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Humans are mostly considered only as food, however, the more conscientious vampires often do not kill humans, preferring to only take blood from willing volunteers. Humans are also commonly used to breed with. Celestials are the vampire's ultimate enemy and most vampires have kill-on-sight orders for celestials.
