Life, Career
After five years of deliberation and infighting, a head of religious state is elected to head the Radiant Cathedral.
Milton Radtcliffe was a cunning man, having been orphaned by the darkness at a young age and raised on the streets of Bulvirk during the rise of the Chapel of Light. His bravery as a grave cleric earned him the Silver Star, a talisman awarded to him by the Prophetess herself shortly before martyrdom in her attempted breach of enemy forces. He returned to Bulvirk with the intent of coercing more young street urchins to join the faith, but soon found himself at odds with several of the higher clergymen who preached but didn't serve. Vowing to clean the Cathedral of its developing corruption, Radtcliffes zeal and drive made him popular amongst the common folk and the veterans alike. For a while it almost looked like there would be a splintering of the Chapel, but Milton found ways to appeal to the most cynical of opponents. Finally the clergy elected him to the office of High Cleric in an effort to corrupt him with power, but Milton denied them that victory as well. Servitude, not charisma would further the career of a layperson in the Chapel of Light.
