Morgaines Haven

Morgaines Haven is the largest settlement in the Riftlands. It has been called by several names over the years. At its founding it was called Midway station, later Midfort. When Queen Robyn claimed it, it was called Queenskeep, and when she was betrayed, it was named Morgaines Haven, after her chief traitor and jilted lover.
Morgaines Haven is separated into two sections, separated by a ridge jutting out from inland. The west side is where the bulk of the business is done. You can find almost anything on market day on the west side.
The East side, or Fortside as it's more commonly called, is dominated by the Queensfort, a massive citadel harbour where ships can dock without reprisal. It is a formidable fortress, and houses a capable garrison that police the city.
Since Captain Morgaines hanging, the city and fortress have maintained each other, the closest thing to a government in the Rift.
