Riverborough
Demographics
Humans are by far the dominant species living in Riverborough, followed by Halflings who make the majority of the remainder, with some 70 or so individuals living among several prominent families. After Halflings are a small population of Elves, including a few Half-Elves. Last on the list are Dwarves and Gnomes.
Government
The Town Magister rules over the town. He is aided by the Town Council.
The Town Council is made up of representatives of the Town Watch, the Trade Guild, and the Farmers and Orchards Association.
The council employs clerks and scribes for record keeping and tabulation.
Defences
Riverborough has little in the way of defense, a cause for some concern among the residents and the merchant's guild. Plans are being put together to change this circumstance.

Riverborough Map Creation
The original map was generated in Watabou's Medieval Fantasy City Generator. I played with that for a while and changed settings until I found something I liked for a small town, then exported it into SVG. I loaded that up in Illustrator, which gave me a larger view of the area surrounding the town. I used that original version for the first few sessions of Chat Plays D&D. After a while I wanted something better, so I imported the original map into Campaign Cartographer 3 with City Designer 3, and created the current iteration of the town as well as a time-shifted version from when Riverborough was a smaller village. That version ties in with an upcoming short story I'm working on that takes place earlier in the town's history.
