The Scions of Nature

Born a human in the village of Moonbright outside Whitecastle during the Age of Storms, little is known of Paradoxin's early upbringing. We can infern by the proximity of his village to the Berylwood however that he likely grew up amongst both the Eldari and the Tilvanel, which most likely inspired his original interest in the forces of nature. What we do know is that he eventually became trained as a druid of the forest, and served the Azure Tower for a time. It was Paradoxin who was stationed on guard duty during the Shower of Fallen Stars that created the Glade of Fallen Stars, and while that locale is now considered a holy place, it changed Paradoxin. Morphed him into something different. He became the first to bear the curse of lycanthropy.

Unable to curse Paradoxin of his curse, and fearful for their safety, the elves of the Berylwood cast Paradoxin out, leaving him to fend for himself. He wandered Earedar for decades, unable to control his fury, before finally settling in Vestoken Forest in the southern Khakari Wildlands. It was here that Paradoxin settled down, and began to spread his curse in earnest, tired of wandering alone. The local villages were abhorred by this newfound plague, and banded together to hunt down and eliminate Paradoxin, and they were successful. However in death he was raised to divinity as a Lesser God, furious at the Elder Races for his treatment in life, he is determined to spread his curse across the Known Realms.

They view their lycanthropy not as a curse, but as a blessing, and revel in their bloodlust. They strive to achieve Paradoxin's vision of a world consumed by their curse, and often strive to create new versions of the disease.
