Greshinibir Character in Earedar | World Anvil

Greshinibir (Grezh-shin-ihb-eer)

The Salesman

"Never trust a goblin."
Unknown Saying

Very little is known about Greshinibir's mortal life, or even himself outside of the society of Goblins. We know he lived some time during the Age of Antiquity, most likely originating from the Khakari Wildlands. We know he was a powerful merchant, and controlled most of the trade coming from the Xa'a Empire through the Inner Sea during that period. What we do know is that shortly after his death he ascended to divinity as a Lesser God, and has been venerated amongst goblins ever since as the only one of their number to do so. The goblins do not necessarily venerate him as a patriarch per se, but instead as an honored example of success, and they hope he will grant them success as well. Greshinibir does not have an official clergy, but is instead widely worshipped across all of goblin-kind. Most other races view him, as all goblins as fundamentally dishonest.

The Trade League- The Trade League is a coalition of city-states on the northern shores of the Inner Sea that holds a monopoly over trade in the region. All trade coming through the Kingdom of Eastfall, the Frozen North or the other northern kingdoms must come through the Kierrash River before entering the open sea, and is thus subject to the league's taxes and control. This allows them to control the flow of massive amounts of goods on the Inner Sea, and they have used this power to gain control over most of the Merchant's Guilds of the various nations and city-states bordering the region. Their main rival is the Black Dragon.
