Salani

Salani is the ruling seat of the Salan island. Salani is built on a crag that reaches out to the coast from the mountains on the island. The town is mostly known for the Castle of Salani, Sagali Stone.

Defences

The Castle, being built upon a cliff side towards the coast. Has great view of any oncoming naval combatants and is very hard to reach on foot due to the small path up to the castle. The town itself is protected with it's own wall around it.

Industry & Trade

Split down the middle of the city, is the quarry cliff wall. More commonly known as the Stone Street. Miners dig out stone as well as other minerals such as iron and copper and then export it outside of the city for a pretty penny. While they do produce many materials, their main produce is stone and concrete. The Volcanic island is know for having some of the most high quality concrete in Lisani.

Guilds and Factions

One of the most prominent guilds within the city is the Masons guild who turn a lot of raw materials into concrete to be used around Lisani.

History

Salani is an old town ruled during before the age of Bronze Kings. The people of the Salan where much different than their Zedaric and Lisani settlers today. It used to be just a small fishing village along the Larragi River until people begun to mine the cliff wall for resources including stone, iron, and copper and it slowly expanded from then and became a valued costal trading point along the Stormcoasts.
Legends speak that the first living beings sprung from the volcanic ash of the mountain and settled along the coastline. It described men as beings of water and fire. This is were one of the Salan myths come from which are still held on to by modern Salanians.
