Shadow Elves
Shadow Elves are unlike their similar but despised brothers, the Wood Elves, who had a long and bitter war with one another in days past. They frequently live in caverns and dark, deep forest houses. They rarely live together, instead they each find their own hidden hollow away from society and duller minds than their own. They often live in complete solitude, excepting their queer pets and creatures they often are fond of collecting. Their skin is a dark grey or black along with their hair, although that can also occasionally be of a brilliant white or reddish brown color. Their eyes are a deep dark green or a brilliant blue-grey. They are the masters of Dark Magic, their extreme intelligence making them naturally skilled in understanding the complex concepts and patterns others miss. They are often seen as harsh and not as humorous as their light-tempered brethren, being of a more serious and mystical nature, looking at the world around them with a practical and piercing gaze, ever taking in more than they let others know.

Shadow Elves are much the same as wood elves in both stature, strength and general build. They have two arms, two legs, a long torso and thin face with pointed ears and often have long flowing hair.

Shadow elves do not so much judge each other by appearance, but mainly by the displayed amount of intelligence and physical capability. This however include wearing practical and intricate clothing, physique, posture and the alertness of one's eyes.
Courtship Ideals
A shadow elf rarely or never stays with a partner long, unlike most other races, they have no marriages, or if they do, it only lasts about a year or two. When looking for an ideal partner, the most precious thing is intellect and physical health. When attempting to impress another of the opposite gender, they attempt to show their intelligence through small and creative banter, talking about extremely deep and hard questions, and intricate physical activities such as musical abilities, agility and often playing around with small objects and twirling them in their fingers.
