The Metal City, Cuciler

The city of Cuciler is considered by many to be essentially the capital of Terr'Aina , yet in no official regard. It is a huge city, reaching about 500 square miles, and in it's most urban and old areas, built almost entirely out of metal and stone. Due to some event long ago, the ground was formed into jagged spikes of metals and stones, creating an oddly hospitable environment with plenty of room, being built vertically rather then horizontally. Because every residence is so large, the city is hardly filled in some places - many share a large spire with others, due to the complexities and time-consuming process of taking care of one. Easily the most populated city in Terr'Aina and perhaps even Ealamkha'fif as a whole, Xilao has a population of about 3 million.   Possessing a culture unique to it, Cuciler inhabitants often identify more closely with their residence in the city, as well as their particular district, rather than in Terr'Aina. An optional, yet highly encouraged educational system encourages young minds to take up jobs suitable for them, as well as identifying prodigious minds for even further education in fields such as theoretical magic, Magi-mechanics study, architecture and agriculture engineering. While nothing compared to the Aeravan city of Najm Ramliun, the Cuciler public college is nothing to scoff at.   Other than the massive amount of farmland that Cuciler supports and imports from distant rural areas, various other ways of supplying a city with food exist. Vine-based fruits, which grow on the spires, structures both artistic and practical in nature, with maximum surface area for plant life, and of course, The Sapphire Swan's Hanging Garden, known throughout the realms to botanists and farmers. The center for plant breeding and development, as well as relaxing public environment for the citizens of Cuciler, the gardens provide a much needed splash of life among the spires and stone.   This is not to say Cuciler is all sunshine and rainbows, however. Due to it being so massive and spread out, Cuciler has an abundance of criminal activities, ranging from various gangs, underground markets and corrupt officials. This problem is compounded further by the low amount of authority present within the city. While the Terr'ainan government tries it's best, it is also famously weak, and any who police Cuciler have to be especially resiliant.
