Terr'ainan Nomadic People

The nomadic people of Terr'aina are perhaps the oldest group of humanoids in Ealamkha'fif. Dating from before the start of the official calander, the Unxia, a long-dissolved clan, were reportedly the people who led Terr'ainans back into the continent. Because of this ancient history, nomadic people in Terr'aina are most distinguishable by their clan. Clans are very different from one another - one may hold itself to a strict honor code, leadership is determined by combat, or that the best in a dance performance is the pride of the clan. Clan, in itself is a general catch-all term used by stationary Terr'ainans. Many of the "clans" call themselves coalitions, tribes or simply groups.
There is an agreement between all of these groups, despite their differences. This goes back many centuries, and is a requisite to becoming a clan. All clans meet every year, for up to a week at a time. During this time, they vote on a very important duty for a tribe to take up - the care and watch of The Mountain that Travels Far. During the next year, the tribe will attend to The Mountain, and guide it, if it wishes to follow. More of a ceremonial duty than anything, The Tribe is supplied anything necessary, and is a very sought-after position for both the prestige and the benefits.
Many Terr'Ainan Nomadic People also utilize a beast very similar to The Mountain that Travels Far - Stonewalkers. Creatures made of stone provide a unique travel mechanism for some tribes, as well as a unit to use in conflict for some of the more aggressive tribes.
