Skystone

Skystone is a common material in Aerava, and provides the literal foundations of the isles. A stone, innately infused with hefty amounts of magic, Skystone is a natural wonder that allows anything on top of it to float. Colored from sandstone tan to graphite grey, research is ongoing to decide if there is a significant difference or even classifications of Skystone.

While reasonably tough, Skystone does have notable downsides preventing it from being used in large-scale created structures, such as Sky Driver. Primarily, it is a brittle substance when not composed of one solid mass, and is no harder to break than bricks. As well, rapid motion of skystone will often make the innate magic go haywire, causing rapid and uncontrolled movement, like a fly with one wing.
