Sky Driver

Sky Drivers, as their name implies, are the driving forces behind the Aerava Realm. Providing a basic and effective form of transport for all goods, people and communication. Shaped much like Kaiyocea's boats, they fly via a combination of magic and mechanical innovation, making them a very familiar magi-mechanical creation for the Aerava Realm. With sizes and shapes as varied as their size, across the populated skies one can see smaller Sky Drivers darting between the larger ones, creating an economy and world between the drivers.

Sky Drivers are just as, if not more developed than Kaiyocea's boats. War Drivers, such as Barragers, long narrow sky drivers designed to fire a fusillade of cannon, magic or arrow fire at a constant rate; Darts, designed small, light and agile, used to get close for raiding parties or precision strikes, and Bastions, great flying fortresses offering shielding, repair for other Sky Drivers and a next-to-indestructible vehicle at the cost of mobility and firepower. Many other specific types exist, including non-combat Sky Drivers such as Haulers, Travelers, and Riders.

Sky Drivers operate off of a special, renewable form of magic contained within a vessel of some sort called Swoop. Swoop can be contained in stones, crystals, glass, and even slime or gelatin. Broadly, a Sky Driver is powered by this, until it runs out, and needs to be refilled. Renewed by specific flora, Magi-Mechanic creations, and even latent wind magic, Swoop is a renewable energy that only costs time, if you're willing to wait.

While a select few in Aerava are content on their own isle, most own or have easy access to a Sky Driver of their own. Riders are spread about, but widespread Traveler routes are also accessible for all but the smallest isles. The freedom offered by a Sky Driver rivals anything the other two realms offer, and every child dreams of their own sporty Rider or Dart to dash across the sky, or starting a Traveler crew with their friends.
