Cloud Sharks

Cloud sharks are essentially very similar to how they sound - wedge shaped, flying creatures with a mouth full of jagged teeth, held afloat by gaseous sacs and long fins. Reaching up to 4 meters long on average, these cloud sharks represent a possible threat to adventurers, especially mid - battle, but are often content to chase other prey. Travelling in packs, a matriarchal cloud shark, much larger than the rest, will often be seen at the middle of the pack.


Cloud sharks do have baseline intelligence, and obey a pack structure, allowing some people, such as Sky Driver pirates, or nomadic peoples to train and use Cloud sharks to sniff out prey - they share their immaculate sense of smell with their water-borne cousins. While in many ways a danger to their owners, Cloud Sharks can actually be fiercely loyal if trained from juveniles.
