Known for its excellent strong alcohol and very cosy atmosphere the hidden gem was frequently visited by those wishing to celebrate by drinking.

It was not unusual for there to be a guard patrol nearby during the night in order to prevent fights from breaking out, even though a fight was never recorded.

Alterations

The first re-build happened when the brewers converted the ground floor into a tavern. This included removing separating walls and laying a wooden floor. Then a bar and tables were added.

An interesting detail was that it had a large cellar that was once hidden, but everyone eventually learned about it and so it was rebuilt as a normal storage room.

History

Originally a place where illegal booze was brewed. In order to disguise the operation the people were calling the place "the hidden gem". It took the city guard a few months to notice that someone was distributing alcohol without informing the authorities. A few guards started calling the place "the hidden gem", since it was thought of as a big deal that was ever so tantalisingly close. Rumour spread about the investigation and the moon shiners decided to apply to sell the alcohol legally. This went surprisingly well, the moment the investigators came into the building, the brewers could prove that it was a legal establishment. They kept the name of the place in the memory of its early history.
