Aeternium

The Aeternium is the largest city on the continent of Kalindon.
Ahead of you lies a massive, sprawling city built around a towering obsidian pillar. The city is like a tierd cake, gradually ascending the sides of the obsidian tower which easily is twice the height of the city's heighest point. At the base of the city outside of the walls are many small touns and small farms. You can spy glimpses of the roofs of the first tier from beyond the first curtain wall. The second tier is built on a layer heigher than the first, and it shows off its many two-storied wealthy buildings. The third tier, at the top, is shaped like a star with four ledges reaching over teh city pointing in each cardinal direction. At the end of each ledge are magnificant and huge structures that one can only hope to explore the entirety of in a week. The obsidian tower at the center rises to the sky with an ornate top and forboding aura.

Structure

The Aeternium has a three tierd layout. Because of its position on a large hill, each tier rises above the last. However, builders have increased the heigh difference, leaving plenty of space to use under the city, commonly reffered to as the Undercity. There's a 40 foot difference between the first and second tier, and a hundred foot difference between the third and second tier. Buildings placed at the bottom tier are usually small buisnesses and homes, while buildings in the second tier are the workplaces and shops. The third tier has the largest and most important buildings, such as the palace, the City Circle - Aeternium, and the Scales of Truth. The front gate has side entrences that lead to the first tier, but the main entrence will take people to the second tier first. Stairs can be found throughout the city to traverse from one tier to the next.

Tier One

The first tier mainly consists of small, clustered buildings. It is by far the most cramped area. The buildings here are mostly homes for those who work in the second tier, but shops and taverns can also be found here. However, due to its lower nature, the crime is much more frequrent in the first tier than the second and third tiers. There are crime gangs and cults, but but unlike the undercity, there is still a law inforcement group, albeit inexperienced.

Tier Two

The second tier is made up of the larger homes, workshops, higher-end shops and taverns, and small guilds. Much more money ahs been spent to make the second tier look fresh and happy. Unlike the first tier, the second tier has parks and a lot of empty space for citizens to enjoy a walk. On these walks citizens may also run into the guards that stand watch on the second tier. These guards are less experienced, more for a show of power and a visage of safety. They can handle a weapon, but if something goes wrong, they'll call for the more experienced patrolling guards.

Tier Three

The third tier is made up of the largest and most important buildings. The third tier has been split into five seactions. Four of the sections each face north, south east, and west. The fifth section is in the center of the four pointed star. The the four points are the Scales of Truth, Grand Library,. Here are the Aeternium's courtroom.
