E'er'all A Game of Gods and Mortals

It took a pandemic to make us realize that we craved more control over our world.   It took an internet connection, a dreary winter, and a cleverly placed advertisement on the hottest game content delivery service to entice a million people across the world to sign up for it—EveryAll, the game that promised the most immersive experience of our lives.   It took thirty seconds to realize that, somehow, we were no longer just playing the game—we were in the game. We were the game.   It was perfect.
In the Beginning—before the world, before time and space, before all things—there was only god, the EveryAll. And then, the EveryAll created the universe, bursting into infinite everything to become everything there is.   This is why, in the world of E'er'all, there are gods. The gods make us, the people, and we people make the gods in a sacred symbiosis of being. So long as there is a people to worship a god, so the god is and bestows its power. But should that people become no more, then so does their god fade from being.
