Artemis (a.k.a. Darolli, Please Call me Darolli!)

Darolli, originally Artemis, is a green scaled kobold that disguises himself as a blue scale kobold. He met the party originally through Mael and Dregg as an indentured servant and after his betrayal, death, and subsequent revival became fast friends with Triznag who saw a bit of himself in the unfortunate kobold and completely changed his life.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Darolli due to his life is a bit on the skinnier and shorter side and this is not changed no matter if he is disguised or not. Darolli also has permanent stitch marks on his neck from where Triznag sowed his head back on and he does his best to keep these hidden as they would lead to more questions than he has answers if seen. The hat of disguise which he wears at all times takes different shapes but he seems to prefer either a hood or bowler hat as he feels these tend to match with his choice of attire which is a little better than casual wear pantaloons and shirt or a robe when he is at work.

Facial Features

Undisguised- Has a very unpronounced fin that almost looks like a underdeveloped mohawk that stops just at the base of his skull he also has some smaller fins on his chin though these are even more so unpronounced than his dorsal fin
Disguised-It took some work but Darolli settled on a face with slightly sunken eyes some slight scale protrusion that looks like a small goatee as well as wonderful though slightly small nasal horn.

Personal history

Artemis' life has been one of suffering and misery. He was born the smartest kobold of his clutch but his master was always very cryptic with him making his learning incredibly difficult and ensuring that he never even got to know his own dragon's name. Artemis loving his master, as all koblods do, gladly served his dragon for 7 years before Doresh Sol came into the picture; first inviting his master to join his legions and then after his master's refusal to kowtow killing him. All his former master's kobolds were relocated to Kher Keep where they either became quickly loyal to their new master or perished. Artemis was actually among those that did not become loyal but rather than being killed Doresh tried something...different placing him under the service of Mael and Dregg. Mael and Dregg were alright master's but a bit mean, not liking that he refused to openly swear loyalty to Doresh Sol which is something they both knew was risky, but at the very least letting him live and even teaching him a few things about surviving in society with his more sophisticated mind and abilities. Artemis became trusted enough among them that he was allowed to make solo trips "on their behalf" or allowed to come with them as an escort which is what allowed him finally a misguided opportunity at revenge that was foiled by his own impatience and the insightful nature of the party.

Education

Artemis' master taught him the art of lying and deceiving, Dregg taught Artemis how to survive and socialize amongst people, while Mael taught Artemis how to read and how to best perform duties as a servant.
Creed, Triznag, and now Mirrai have been the ones to teach him the art of alchemy, making poisons, and making potions.

Employment

He served as a loyal servant to his master, a somewhat bitter servant to Mael and Dregg, and is now happily working in private with the Black Hand in Fellhaven to make potions and poisons but in public is working under Mirrai to run a successful alchemy shop and as her apprentice.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Making friends with Triznag and being seen as not somebody to be treated as beneath him was probably one of the most proud moments of his life, that boost in self-confidence and self-worth has allowed him to achieve things he never thought he could.

Failures & Embarrassments

The death of his master before ever even getting to know his name
His former indentured servitude to Mael and Dregg
His failure to get vengeance for his master as well as his own death as a result of this poorly executed vengeance

Mental Trauma

The death of his master haunts him and he is very hesitant to talk about it since he was firsthand witness to it
His own death was both brutal and quick and he has a greater nervousness for Dregg than he once had when he used to think that Dregg was the more tame amongst his two former masters
Darolli is afraid of being useless and letting the people he thinks are important to him dying again and will overwork himself to try and protect them

Darolli is well spoken, calculating, but still at his heart is just kobold with all the benefits and drawbacks that come with that

Morality & Philosophy

Darolli is not above lying or manipulating people to get his way and is selective with the people he choses to be friendly and completely honest with. Darolli is very focused on just surviving at this point as he realizes that he is more than fortunate to be alive like he is right now.
