U'Dur
Rockfather
God of Mountains
Portfolio: Mountains, Cities, Construction U'Dur causes the mountains to grow, striving for ever greater heights. As the foundation and strength of the land, he give his name to the world - Durath, meaning of U'Dur. At the start of The First War, he helped Dholloumora to make the precious metals and gems that drive the modern world, in an attempt to best the tapestry of colour created by Tedna. As the war escalated, he worked with Nyva to fashion The Shadowcage. Dwarves tend to favour a literal interpretation; U'Dur is a tower of strength, traditions, order and hierarchy, and the mountains are of his making, to house his children. Human societies (the Teriman Crown is no exception) tend to a more metaphorical view. Mountains often define territorial borders, and are seen as a guide for civilisation. Constructions of stone are considered examples of U'Dur's strength wrought through mortal hands; cities are to humanoids as the mountain ranges are to gods.Aspects of U'Dur
