Mighty are the mountains! Deep are their roots! Strong are The Bones of the World!

Durathoss is the Divine Creation of U'Dur - God of Mountains
Believed to be the first act of true divine creation, the making of Durathoss provided a bastion of stability amidst the swirlings of Primordial Chaos. Upon them the transient products of Chaos could be hung and begin to endure. The others of the Eight saw the opportunity in such permenance and collaborated around it. From the name Durathoss comes the common name for the world, Durath.
It is not to say that there was nothing before The Bones of the World were made. On the contrary, there was much more than is found upon Durath today, but it was fleeting, and it was lost in the instance of its being.
