Previously, the country of Aurelia had been a human kingdom exclusively, but through the interaction with the Thanorus Theocracy the king seeks out new powers and technologies from other countries.

He sends out an open invitation for artisans, military advisers, and diplomats from other nations and continents to come and work in his country. He sends out emissaries in all directions, over land and sea, and tells them to asses any peoples they come into contact to see if they are worthy of invitation. Siege weapons from the Lahkmids, cavalry officers from the Timujids, and magicians from the island nation of Aerget were brought in. The reclusive Tiefling nation on the Lugan Islands sent an adviser on aerial warfare and the master elven forge-masters of the North were paid handsomely for secrets to metallurgy.
