The Weave

The Weave was created by Gaia and Djure, to give their creations a way to affect reality in a similar way Gods do. Because of this, it is built to resemble the way Gods bend reality.
The Weave is a "weave" made up of presumably infinite strings. These strings are laid over reality, and puncture reality. There is no point that we know of that is not punctured by at least one String. There are certain Main strings that puncture a lot of points crucial to what Mortals consider Magic.
When a mortal interacts with the weave by affecting the strings in any way, the effect experienced by the strings bends reality, much as the gods bend reality just with no intervening step.
