The Setup
On Friday evening, the party arrived at the Yawning Portal to meet with the Flaming Fist Captain, only to discover that something was terribly wrong. Gregory, suspicious of the captain’s demeanor, booped his nose—an action that immediately shattered his illusion, revealing him to be Dirge Daggerfell, a former acquaintance of Jörm’s from another world.
At the same moment, Gregory was struck by a barrage of magic missiles, fired by a rogue wizard named Ashlynn, a known Zhentarim agent. The bar erupted into chaos.
The Battle
- Dirge engaged Olaf and Jember, wielding psychic blades with deadly precision.
- Telion enlarged Jörm, turning him into a towering force, but was soon struck down by the gnoll enforcer, Rolligan.
- Gregory dueled a younger, horned version of himself, an alternate version from another world.
- Jörm relentlessly pursued Ashlynn, eventually knocking her unconscious before turning his attention to Dirge.
- In a stroke of accidental brilliance, Jember's poisoned dart ricocheted off a cast iron pot, striking Dirge in the back.
- With Olaf's moonbeam pinning Dirge, Jörm hoisted Dirge’s battered body over the Yawning Portal and issued an ultimatum:

The Fall Into the Portal
