Decker Avant

Decker Avant is a tonberry working out of Thalatte as a bounty provider and notary public. He works as the Starfall's Help Wanted ad, sending them news of new bounties, kittens stuck up in treees, hyperviolent criminals on the loose, and unchecked capitalism rampaging through the working class. Whether the party does anything about it is up to them, which is why Avant is a notary public as well.
Avant is a tonberry of regular tonberry dimensions (third, dense), with grayish-green skin and a predilection for cozy sweaters and scarves. He keeps his office supplies woven into his brightly-colored scarves, the better to reach them no matter what he is doing.
Lady Justine Menard gave the party Avant's name and address after receiving their aid, and the party decided to sign on with Avant without meeting with the alternative choice. There was debate over this decision; Bast argued for more information about what had happened to Avant's previous clients, and Avant did not find the Captain's questions entertaining nor did he entertain them. After the party retrieved Robb Hourne's mysterious box, Bast signed the official agreement with Avant, and contracts periodically cross the Starfall's desk, at least when they can get all of the food and maps off of it.
