Emberfost Peninsula
Emberfrost Bay is choked with ice in the winter, but the volcanic soil of the fjords and valleys is fertile and well-watered, resulting in a thriving boreal forest ecology around the northern part of the bay and along the entire Emberfrost Peninsula. The volcanoes along the eastern part of the Crown of Ash, including those north of the bay and along the peninsula, are more felsic in mineralogy, and tend to spit lava bombs along with the plumes of ash that cloud the sky for weeks at a time every few years.
