General Summary

Conversations in the City of Life

After her time in the sea, Rani returned to Home Tree and almost immediately pulled Declan aside. After saying that she's quite angry at him, Declan attempted to speak up, but was promptly silence by the finger of "silence I'm not finished" from Rani. She continued, saying that she is also angr with herself. She told Declan that she would have done everything in her power to keep this a secret. Although he didn't tell her sooner, she does appreciate hi having a loop hole. Declan appreciates the forgiveness and dissolution of tension before he enters a difficult time. Rani initially assumed he was talking about Therarask (introducing the boyfriend to the family), but Declan mentioned that his anniversary was coming up on top of all of that. Declan doesn't know if he can stand to lose two loved ones. Rani remarked that hey, if it goes great, then it will become a good time of the year rather than a bad one... and if it goes bad, then... well... its just one week out of the year at least, right?
The Deep End settled down for Blood Soup – with real blood for Ghilani and Azrail. Ismera nearly panicked seeing the disarray, but Rani arrived to save the day locating the bowls and silverware scattered throughout. After setting the table and partaking in the oddly delightful soup, Newt remarked that he planned to speak with Volo. Six commented that he is quite a nice man.
Ghilani and Azrail then presented Rani with a bouquet with a starry rock in the middle and sand seal motifs scattered throughout the entire arrangement. The flowers mean family (amidst other positive things) as Ghilani is trying to improve on his flower language. And, of course, the rock means a rock because Rani is the rock. Then, Azrail had the rock display the starry sky that he saw when he gained his druidic powers. He hopes that it can help Rani find herself, at least a bit.
In the evening, Rani found Six alone and asked her about the deal she struck over Mario. Six – realizing that it was pointless to even try and lie - simply told Rani that she had a deal with Denarya regarding her daughter, Olivantha, which inevitably led them to Mario. Then Denarya returned with Volo and another deal was struck. Volo would be denied this bounty, but he would be given information on a higher priority target to bring back to his direct boss. And, in return, Six would make killing her a challenge – a suitable match for Volo's skill and desire for a legacy. She delights in sending the dragonborn bouncing throughout the Orchard every now and then, highly amusing. Rani then emphasized how much Declan loves her. It would be hard for Declan to lose more than he already has right now. Six promised that she will not perish within the month. When Rani mentioned that she would do what she could to prevent the blood witches from withering and fading away, Six then asked about where she valued free will and choice. There is one who can make this choice, but others seek to sway them and make the choice for them. Remember, not everything is black and white...
Newt followed the obvious tracks of a large dragonborn and then was guided by Thanatos to Volo. After expressing his concerns for the Cycle of Life and Death and what Thyron taught him, Volo seemed vaguely amused. Look at the city, kid. It wasn't always like that. Ah'Shal is overworked and with no credit given... Volo's seen it himself after all when he died many years ago. He did what all souls do: waited in line and saw the Goddess herself. He offered his services in exchange for avoiding the Sea of Unclaimed Souls. Although they haven't always seen eye to eye – Volo does have a bit of height on Newt – Newt assured him that Volo was really not going to like what he had to say. Newt straight up said that with everything with his father, with his siblings... he was considering killing the Goddess of Death. Volo had a strong adverse reaction... but nowhere near as bad as Thanatos, who squawked and cawed horribly, hopping from Volo's shoulders as his eyes shifted from red to eerie green. Volo leaned in and asked: Do you know what would happen when you kill her? Have you thought about that? Made a plan? All your friends... they may never find their afterlife if you aren't careful.
Not intimidated by Volo in the slightest, Newt insisted that something needed to be done, though he is questioning his line of thinking. And, by the way, he knows who Volo's target is. You want to know why you haven't had executioners hounding you or why I didn't chop your head off when you stole my axe? That old man bargained for you. Made a deal to only take your soul if you died early... or if you overstepped. And you are toeing the line, kid. Unfortunately, Volo's gone soft, or so he says. He'd prefer not to have to resume his hunt for Newt. Regarding getting answers, Volo was quick to call Newt a coward. Did I teach you to dance around at the edges when hunting a bounty? Or did I teach you to go to the source, up close and personal? You're avoiding where you need to go. If you want answers, ask Ah'Shal – the little lady might be able to, she's the religious type after all – else you go ask her High Priest. Regardless, Volo will be around... he'll see what he can find, though Caishen has kept him on a bit of a tighter leash recently. Volo put a hand on Newt's shoulder and seemed to want to say something before turning to walk off. But before he could leave, Newt pulled the dragonborn into a hug, that was reluctantly returned, though not without a comment on how bad Newt still smells. With a tip of his hat, Volo walked off, Thanatos - eyes still green - flying after him.

Newt stared at the smog, imagining the places he knew were within its terrible confines. Back at home tree, the Deep End (plus some) settled in for the night. Moira was abandoned in her hammock as Ghilani left to join Ismera. Azrail, Rani, and Ismera spoke of the night sky and Ismera commented that the stars and moon make them queasy... it reminds them of the Greatwyrms. Ismera never got along well with other dragons. Rani and Azrail both offered comfort and reassurance. You found your way to Carmenthia's library and now you have a group of friends.
In the morning, Ismera seemed on edge. There is another dragon nearby. Rani managed to make out a clearly tall form adorned in regal garments and decked out in silver from head to toe. Heading downstairs, Six also remarked that there is a dragon outside. Would you like her to let the dragon in? The Lunar Queen, Philphrosyne, entered - having to duck inside - and returned the items Declan and Rani had given to Kar. Rani inquired as to how that's going. Kar is still undoing the mental walls he has placed up... but he is improving.
The deep, emotional conversations were not yet done as Newt pulled the entire group aside to tell them that... he's leaving. He's worried for Sage. She's alone in Elios, a hostile place. Ismera piped up and mentioned that yes, you could try and get to the main city in disguise, but if you are caught, it would mean death. Six mentioned seeking out Nana Nine for assistance as she may or may not be in the main city itself. Declan seemed particularly concerned with Newt leaving: there are people after us. Newt assured everyone that he would actually be safe within the City of Smog: he knows it better than most. He is forever grateful for everyone. Before meeting them, he was a murderer who only hunted for heads. Its different now. He promised to gather gold for Moira's sister as he thinks of her as such. And he assured Ghilani that he is still his knight, even if apart.
Before Newt left, Moira turned to Calibird. She knows that he's here to help Caliban see her... but can he go with Newt for now? Calibird agreed and also totally noticed how Newt slipped some gold into Moira's pockets. Ghilani offered the broach to Newt, setting it to a yellow tulip: it means brotherly love. Before Newt departed, Six left him with one final comment: you may not be able to see your reflection, but perhaps the answers are more obvious than you think.
Six then asked Ghilani if he wanted to receive a message to which he agreed... and then immediately regretted. Ironborn asked for their location and, shortly after, Ghilani received a courier with a letter from the High Lord himself. It seems he is sending someone.
Before the Deep End departed (with Azrail's tree in tow), Six pulled Declan aside. Sylvia had asked her to make something for Declan to give to him on their 1st anniversary. The tabaxi produced a small music box with both Sylvia and Declan on it. When opened, it seems to release a melody, sung in Sylvia's voice. Don't worry, you will see me again, dumb, stupid, idiot boy. Now go face your problems!

Into the Jungle

Arriving at the Diving Board, the crew was quick to report that someone fell from the sky, appearing out of nowhere sometimes as the Deep End tends to do with all their magic spells. There is now a stranger on the boat. Shortly after, there was a commotion from the engine room. Trix emerged, annoyed and yelling at a relatively small individual who claimed that the tabaxi didn't know what she was doing with that engine. Rodric is a knight of the Ironborn estate, sent to keep an eye on the engine as well as to assist the group, per Ironborn's request. Meanwhile, Declan argued about Azrail bringing a tree onto the boat - his boat.

Declan is now not the oldest and Ghilani and Moira are now tall. Ismera remarks that, don't worry, Ismera will always be older than Declan... but they will also always look younger! Rani pulled out the "get-along" tea and convinced Trix and Rodric to work together long enough to get the engine up and running to teleport them the rest of the way into the port of Therarask. The bit of money Rani slid Trix certainly helped.

Although the clouds hang heavy in the sky, the wind rips across the island, and the humidity hangs heavy, the people in Themiscyron seem to move about the town unhindered and they line the docks to attempt to advertise and catch the many visitors disembarking from boats. Amidst the awaiting crowds were escorts attempting to entice people to stay a while in the port and masked figures covered from head to toe attempting to convince visitors to do the opposite: practice discipline. And then a very noticeable tabaxi calling out for those who might need a guide through the Jungle! Need to go to Pleasure Row?
Needing and wanting to get to Pleasure Row QUICK, the group flagged down Chain and Declan handed in his coupon. After staring at it for awhile, Chain agreed to give them a 50% discount. Chain led them through the city, mentioning that the Ascetics have a camp just outside, unfortunately. One day, the Jungle will consume this city - as it has many others. Chain has never known the market not to be partially overrun by trees and vines so he wagers there's time before it goes. Chain seems to work to support his mother, Ketta, and mentioned that he can give discounts to Dragon's Den – he has a friend there – but Haven is great as well! When asked about winged individuals, he mentioned that they don't get many aarakocra in these parts.
Ismera seemed hesitant about going further. The Library may be in shambles, but you could get a massage at Pleasure Row and THEN go back! Think of how Carmenthia will really miss and value you the longer you're gone! How many books could she possibly put out of order? To Pleasure Row... though Ismera still seems a bit nervous.
Moving through the Jungle, Chain advised them to stay close – he won't be going in to find you! Moira – without hesitation – chose to accept a drag on a pipe offered by a shady serpent. She floated like a balloon, confused out of her mind for an hour. Chain was floored that there was just... no hestitation. Rani and Ghilani teamed up to have the bugs glow so that Rani could guide them to fly across Moira's vision – a kaleidescope of colors to the drugged out cleric.
Settling in for the night, Chain seemed a bit on edge once a fire got going. When questioned by Rani and Moira, he simply shrugged it off and chalked it up to the general level of nerves being around new people. Regarding the Jungle, so long as everyone stays close... it should all be fine. Therearask is a cat person, after all. Stick with Chain, and it'll all work out. Off in the distance, Azrail swore he heard the sound of paws, light on the ground... but it couldn't have been walking on four legs. When speaking to a tree, it claimed that Azrail was traveling with something of theirs. How odd.
While traveling the next day, the Deep End struggles to get their bearings and Chain seems a bit annoyed at having to keep rounding them all up again. Moira, unlike the previous day, did not immediately approach the beautiful stallion in the distance. She stood resolute and turned away from its call. But then not a moment later, Rani swore she saw a puddle of blood and compelled, stop to watch some of her own blood drip into it. Once shaken and snapped out of it... it all seemed to be water. Regardless, Rani doesn't want anyone having her blood so Ghilani better drink up. Chain is very confusd about the blood thing, but sure, you do you.
Stopping another night, the group rested with golden shards of mist drifting in the Jungle beyond. The next day, Ghilani stepped on some dried fungus and was promptly incapacitated. Declan's strong and can totally carry him... or do you want to carry him, Ismera? Ismera is always happy to help! Upon arriving in Pleasure Row later in the day, Chain gave them a few directions before bounding off. Azrail realized then that... odd, Chain didn't have a shadow. Ghilani realized, upon waking up, that his gold purse seems a bit lighter.
Where to go on Pleasure Row? How about Ikaris' tent! The tiefling seemed a bit upset that Newt wasn't present, but if his friends are willing to help... the Jungle has been clouding his vision, but he has sensed not one but two of Newt's siblings here. If you could find them and ensure their safety, Ikaris would very much appreciate that. Unfortunate, though, he had prepared the boon Newt requested. Oh well. Azrail then asked for his fortune and was told that if you desire the attention of the one you hold affection for, the opportunity will be decided within the next coming days. Ghilani then asked for a fortune for a friend. Ikaris said that so long as they have empathy but demand respect, all should be well.
Onward to Haven, the entire group entered a luxurious lounge outfitted with stage and bars. Rodric promptly asked fro the tallest woman and was met shortly thereafter with a half-orc woman named Tempest. If you wish to pay more, she might be able to... be a little taller, per se. Rodric seemed pleased with how she is currently before he suddenly grew to 10 feet tall, leaving with Tempest. For there is action to be done... sexual action.
Ghilani was then approached by a golden haired woman who claimed to be the friend they were looking for. Before taking Ghilani away, she asked if the other desired the company of anyone in Haven. Rani politely refused and Moira did as well. Oh, more interested in the scaled variety? She then winked, leaving Moira very confused. Following after her, Ghilani was led into a room... and the woman revealed themself to be Lux Briar. No blue one? If you wanted to make them your bloodhunter... oh well. Would you like to meet Primus One?
Amidst the halls of Haven, Rani sent to Ezra. The best escorts in Haven can't hold a candle to you. While still seated in Haven, the question of Ismera's type was raised. Blood type, you mean? Oh, well they are attracted to intelligence at the very least. When Rani mentioned the Theater, Ismera offered to accompany her. Eventually, the rest of the group travelled to one of the largest theaters on Pleasure Row: the Arany Rosza theater to watch the X-rated play: Three Great Floating Tits. Moira gets very into the performance, Azrail is intrigued, Declan mentions that Therarask did all the costume designing, and Ismera is so very much confused: Are Ghilani and Newt... a thing?
Meanwhile, the silence is overbearing as Lux brings Ghilani to an old... temple? It is oddly familiar. For a moment, Ghilani sees figures, mostly women, as they weave magic of crimson red. Many walk in pairs alongside a figure donning weaponry. As it fades back to dust, Lux opens the one sealed door in this large chamber. The long hallways is lined with crevices that perhaps once ran thick with red blood... now just a trickle or dried entirely. At the end, surrounded by broken vases... is a vat... of blood. Following along, Lux and Ghilani extended hands out and pulled forth a form from the blood. And there stood Primus One.

Welcome back, my dear... to my Compound, my home... my tomb.   I am eons. If I was ever born, it was amidst the stars and the cosmos. I am more than the facades you know well.

With Lux dismissed, Ghilani spoke with Primus One face-to-face for the first time. This, Ghilani, is where you were made. It took many years and I see you still remain in this form. Their hand traced over Ghilani's cheek and he saw pale skin with red threads. Primus seemed pleased that it has held. They explained that they suspect Ghilani "imprinted" upon his mother – for you loved her dearly and she you – but you can assume other forms, my dear. Primus used many changelings in Ghilani's creation.
Primus spoke of how they are fond of this world and yes, Ghilani, there are many more worlds amidst the cosmos... but this is where Primus wishes to remain. Does it feel different to be in the presence of something more than the facade of your pantheon? For I am eons, Ghilani. Yet not blessed with the abilities of creation... only the in between. When Ghilani remarked that Primus had made him, they explained that they did so by hijacking The One's – you only have half a soul and half of Primus. Primus One now requires a new tether in order to stay in this world... and that it why Ghilani is so very special. When Ghilani expressed concerns about completing the tasks set before him, specifically Mistress 8's, Primus expressed confidence in Ghilani. Eight was affected by the Purge, appeal to her emotions. I am certain you can forge a path forward where you do not hurt your friends... though unfortunately, the way of this world, as it is, is to hurt and be hurt. Do you know what will happen if the blood fades? The Sea will leave this world... and you will never see your mother again, Ghilani. But I believe in you, truly. Strengthen yourself so you may become my tether in true... and together, we shall bring about a Pantheon of Blood, free from the rules placed upon this world.
Then, Primus seemed to partially collapse. They apologized for their weakness, for having to see them in this state. If you bring the blud one here, Primus will make him your hunter in true. Or the compromised one, if he ever finds his true loyalty to Six. There is also a Chosen on Therarask. Do not harm her as she is precious to Therarask. A final gift to the one god who mourned the witches... when the God of Pleasure was still themselves.
And then, Primus' hand and presence faded as their form collapsed into blood, draining back into the vat... a final whisper that they will be with Ghilani as they have been. Ghilani lingered, staring at his reflection as he became Newt, Moira, Azrail, Rani, Declan... and then his mother. Once back in his form, Lux approached. Shall we return? I am, after all, a truly loyal hunter.

The Note from High Lord Ironborn

It has come to my attention that the test engine your vessel has been outfitted with has suffered a malfunction. To ensure your safety and the integrity of my engine, name, and quality of brand, I have sent my associate. I can assure you that he is fully capable of defending himself and may be of further assistance in your endeavors. Given that you have accepted such aid from the Lady La'Talenna, I do hope that you accept a similar token from me as well. Once I have ascertained the cause of the malfunction and how it may be amended, I shall provide a suitable repair and enhancement to your vessel and shall recall Rodric to my home estate once more.
Highest Regards,   High Lord Kuan-Ti Ironborn

Three Great Floating Tits

The newest X-rated performance to debut in the evening hours of the Arany Rozsa Theater. While many plays open with a depiction of the gods, this one opens slightly different: the arrival of the Iron Arrow... which looks very, very phallic as it arrives in a conveniently positioned stage set-up of Varoona... or the city... or perhaps the Goddess. The ambiguity seems to be intentional. The broken down arrow releases a puff of conveniently placed, horrible white-ish smoke as it breaks down completely in port. From the Iron Arrow, the heroes emerge:
  1. Rani Al-Himma – The actress playing Rani dons the get-up of some of the more scandalous dancers in Lark'Hal. She departs the Iron Arrow accompanied by the actor playing Lark, who practically drapes himself all over her. The God of Creativity waxes and wanes about how the City of Chaos is in need of inspiration, pulling Rani into a dance that suggests they are very familiar with one another. Only Rani can save the city and bring it inspiration... with her body perhaps as the means.
  2. Moira – The actress playing Moira clearly took inspiration from Moira's more ramshackle original armor... but with conveniently placed windows and a very cinched waist. Her body clearly has been dusted with copious amounts of glitter. She is escorted by Caliban, a figure in heavy robes and skin like stars. He advises her sternly that the City of Chaos is filled with temptation. Should you wish to enter my court, you must resist them all. Moira nods, determined (the real Moira nods along in agreement).
  3. Ghilani & Newt – The Goddess of Death, a rare appearance in plays, emerges dressed in dark black garments on the tail of a beautiful, flower-ladened Tel'Rhea. The Goddess of Death seems to awkwardly attempt to gain the Goddess of Life's attention as she takes in the splendor of the land. They are mirrored then... by the arrival of Newt and Ghilani. The young elf is distracted as the tiefling attempts to gain his attention, just barely managing to prevent him from falling unceremoniously off the train. There's a dramatic pause, with a spotlight on the two as they stare at each other... and then they move on like nothing happened.
  4. Declan – Therarask emerges first, looking positively disheveled and clearly having just finished having sex. They give a brief monologue about the glory of Varoona, her immaculate form, and how they have just made a splendid offering to her! Would anyone dare violate such beauty? Declan emerges then, right on cue, barely clothed and also clearly a mess. There is very much a moment of "I'm not finished with you yet" before they are promptly stopped by Varoona herself. I'll take good care of your Beloved, my dear, now run along!

With the Gods and Goddesses now gone, the next scene takes place at the Blue End Galleon (in loving memory). There is a montage of fish bowls and drinking. Rani and Declan explain the concepts of sex to the oblivious youngsters with some very lewd motions and gestures (and very well used instances of stage magic). Rani is the first to be whisked away, pulled into a very provocative dance by a rugged, copper-haired warrior from Ragna with muscles to spare. Therarask, now disguised as a long-haired blond elf, swoops int to pick off Declan, though Ghilani attempts to intervene (to which the audience boos very loudly, Moira included). With the two distracted, the doors open and a rugged, absolutely yoked, blue dragonborn walks in, shirtless and wearing VERY low hanging pants. Moira laments in the foreground about how she can't possibly give in - she's only just arrived! In the background, a tense conversation seems to occur between Newt, Ghilani, and Volo. But that's not all! A dashing tiefling makes his appearance next, interrupting Moira's lament. The tiefling is halfway through seducing her - armor all over the place. Newt and Ghilani are just staring at one another again... (and someone in the audience yells "just kiss already" followed by applause).
And the first Act comes to a close with the emergence of the very phallic Hydra. It destroyed the Blue End Galleon right as the Pirate Lord steps away from Moira, appalled by her rejection – for she can't deny her god! The Deep End are forced to flee - many attempting to put clothes back on as they do so - while the Pirate Lord launches on a monologue about drugs and fun and the superior tits.
The start of the second act begins with two mirrored meetings: the Pirate Lord and the High Lord. The backdrop behind the Pirate Lord is very clearly a mechanical giant tit with a very pronounced nipple and the backdrop, while slightly more subtle, for the Guild Council is two tits. Olivantha is then introduced as she strides on stage in a very nice plate bikini. She and a fancy, feathered pirate bicker for the Pirate Lord's attention and affection. Meanwhile, the High Lord interrupts what appears to be on the cusp of an orgy to attempt to motivate a counter attack. The entire battle - from both Pirate Lord and Guild Council - is treated very much like sex as opposed to a serious military affair. The High Lord is presented so stiff and serious that its quite comical amidst the chaos around him.
For the climax, the Deep End – and friends – face the mighty phallic Hydra, the charming Olivantha, and the fancy Francis Morgan. Imbued by the powers of Lark and assisted by the gleaming muscles of the rugged champion of Ragna, Rani creates a dragon to aid in their fight, removing one of the Hydra's five heads. It's death is VERY evocative. Olivantha and Francis attempt to charm and seduce, entice and distract, but in their efforts... they realize how into each other they actually are and they stumble off stage together. Rani and Declan realize they must convince the trio that the only way to defeat this creature is to experience... an awakening. Once more, the lights fall upon Newt and Ghilani. They step closer to one another and... they seem to reach for one another... before they each fire into a Hydra head (there's a very exasperated, "JUST KISS DAMMIT" from somewhere in the audience). But then Ghilani is grabbed and thrown about, saved by Declan who swoops in - shirt open - to save the boy, catching him in his arms and destroying yet another head in the process. Moira, distracted by the roguish bounty hunter is then saved by said bounty hunter. As she swoons, the last head explodes.

At the end of it all, the Pirate Lord stands on the Floating Tit and laments his failure. How could he be denied to vehemently? Though his mood changes when he is enticed off stage by Olivantha and Francies. And the curtains draw closed...
