Starday Tradition / Ritual in Dremlia [Old] | World Anvil

Starday

Perhaps the most common tradition amongst the Humans of Dremlia is the starday. When a new child is born, it is customary for the family to record the position of the stars in the sky that night. As the seasons pass by the stars make their journey through the night, moving across the sky. In about one years time, the stars will settle back into the same positions they were in on the day of that young child's birth. This day is known as their starday, a day traditionally filled with festivities in celebration of their birth. While primarily celebrated solely amongst Humans, a number of Dwarves and Elves, especially those living amongst Humans, have been seen taking part in this tradition.
