Liquid Emerald

For the longest time, it has been known that for some reason, Absinthe, "the Green Fairy", can be used to ease the symptoms of The Stray. It took many years, however, before a less addictive - and a less alcohol infused one - version of the drink was created by tireless efforts of the researchers. Still, if used wrong, even the Liquid Emerald can do more harm than good.

Liquid Emerald is a potion created from natural herbs. The exact composition is unknown, but at least anise and  the flowers and leaves of wormwood are present. The colour is bright green, hence its name, "Liquid Emerald". The taste is naturally bitter, so it is usually recommended to drink the potion with a cube of sugar, either added to the potion itself or eaten after drinking it.

Liquid Emerald can be bought from all magically inclined chemists with the price of cough medicine. The bottles are available in varying sizes, one bottle holding from five to ten portions of the potion, one portion size being around a shot glass.

Utility

Liquid Emerald can be compared to our over-the-counter flu medicines. No recipe is needed for a purchase and overdosing the potion bought from the chemist is not dangerous, though it might make you feel very sick. You are supposed to have a shot of the potion after crossing from one realm to another, after which the mild symptoms of The Stray start to ease after around fifteen minutes.

Liquid Emerald can also be used in more serious cases of The Stray, but in these situations, professional's supervision is always needed. The Liquid Emerald used by magimedical staff is more potential than the version that can be bought from chemists, and is not available for private use.
Discovery

Liquid Emerald was discovered by the healers of Spring Court after magical and scientific studies that were based on the benefits Absinthe was known to have against the symptoms of The Stray. Numerous different combinations were tried before current mixture was found.
