History

It was originally created by accident as a failed attempt to brew an antihaemorrhagic decoction. The resultant powder indicated failure, leaving the patient to bleed to death, but the properties of this powder were revealed when the alchemist incinerated their failed creation, only to discover that it brought forth the spirit of their deceased patient. What followed was a remarkably amicable and useful discussion between the alchemist and the spirit of the departed. Among a number of secrets regarding the process of death, the spirit also shared their reaction to the burning powder and, as a result, the effects of necromancer powder were documented.
