Doll's Eyes

Doll's eyes are berries that grow on fairy candle bushes from summer to early autumn. These doll's eyes subtly turn to observe any passing creatures with their pupil-like black spots, making them unnerving company for lone wanderers.
The adverse effects of doll's eyes do not effect birds or bird-folk. However, for those that are susceptible, there is no antidote to doll's eye poisoning.

The Conspiracy, a criminal organisation of cornixes, are notorious for growing, trading, and manufacturing doll's eyes. With their avian immunity to doll's eye poison, this serves as the perfect weapon for them which cannot be turned against them.

Byproducts & Sideproducts

By peculiar happenstance, the byproduct of failing to brew doll's bane poison is an alternative variant of doll's bane poison which must be ingested, and is slightly less potent, but is still a poison in its own right.

Hazards

Doll's eyes are toxic and should be handled with gloves. Antidotes are ineffective against doll's eye poisoning, as well as against any poisons brewed from doll's eyes.

In places where fairy candle grows natively it is illegal to harvest doll's eyes. This law has proven difficult to enforce, since it is not technically illegal to grow fairy candles, but the punishment for being caught with harvested doll's eyes is severe. This law has also been used to persecute various bird-folk out of discrimination born of fear of their natural immunity to the poison.
