In the Dragon Marches, your character's race determines which ancestry found within the walls of Drakkenfall they call their own; Whether it's the diverse and ambitious human, the insular but determined elves, traditionalist and judgmental dwarves, strong and pragmatic orcs, or any other that call this city home. A character's race and their experiences prior to their life as an adventurer—represented by a background—might be key parts of their identity, shape how they see the world, and help them find their place in it.

Human

Humans are diverse and adaptable people with wide potential and deep ambitions. Whatever drives them, humans are the innovators, the achievers, and the pioneers of the worlds.

Orc

Orcs are proud, strong people with hardened physiques who value physical might and wise pragmatism. Through pride and prowess, they fight to find their place in a world they once came to conquer.

Elf

Elves are a tall, long-lived people with a strong tradition of art and magic. Known for keen perception and grace, they blend aspects of the civilized and natural worlds together in every aspect of their lives.

Dark Elf

Dark elves resemble their high elven relatives apart from their dark blue and purple skin. Unlike they're contemporaries however, martial and magical prowess paired with peerless cunning is highly valued and naturally adept within the culture of the dark elves.

Dwarf

Bold and hardy, dwarves are a short, stocky people who are stubborn, fierce, and devoted. They are known to be skilled warriors and masterful artisans.

Hobgoblin

Taller and stronger than their goblin kin, hobgoblins are slightly greater in strength and size to humans, with broad shoulders, a lanky build, and long, powerful arms that compliment their cunning and boisterous nature.

Kobold

Kobolds are a small and reptilian race, they take an exaggerated pride in their distant relation to their draconic ancestors and relatives. They combine caution and cunning to make their fortunes and find validation from the wider world.

Revenant

Revenants are sentient undead whose soul still clings to their lifeless body. Often hiding their form with masks or cloaks, they live in isolated numbers in a world that has passed them by.
