Viridia’s Depravity of the Flesh

Perhaps worst of all the Dark Faiths of the Dragon Curses what can only be called a Depravity. Anderion relishes bloodshed, and Tenabrius profanes the borders of life itself, but Viridia bathes herself in the agonies and ecstasies of her followers. Her followers indulge in the pleasures and pains of the flesh, practicing ritualistic torture and intercourse in her name. Her shadowfae are the broken remains of the high elves, once proudest of all people. Now their bodies are distorted and minds broken by the ordeals Viridia has put them through. They say abuse is a cycle, and it rings true as the Green Dragon’s followers pass their sufferings on to their own subsequent victims. Thankfully little of what truly happens in Nightsong’s deepest dungeons has made its way out of the cursed city. While the faelene answer to their dragon master, it is not widely believed that they partake in her worship rituals. Instead, they seem to have mostly moved out of the cities and into the hinterlands where they primarily lived before the fall. Whether this is simply a return to life as they knew it, a direct avoidance of their new Queen, or a combination of the two is unclear. Yet another rebellion from the catfolk seems highly unlikely, but they may have some remorse over their new allegiance. Lastly are the trolls, who dutifully follow their Queen’s bidding. However, the inherently alien nature of the trolls makes deciphering their deeper motives next to impossible. They are reported as not shying away from Viridia’s more perverse proclivities, but it is also not believed that they are even capable of partaking in the pleasures of the flesh. It could be that they enjoy the pain of their elven captives simply out of spite, or it is conceivable that they get something more voyeuristic out of the ordeal. At this juncture it is impossible to say and, frankly, probably best to spend as little time contemplating it as possible.
