Few know the true name and fewer still the identity of the enigmatic leader of the Order of Cleansing Flame called the Cindered Shade. In public she almost always has her hood drawn up over her face and even in private she frequently wears her full helm. What is known is that she is a warrior of immense power. Both the Dark Champion of Fire and wielder of a Gift of Primus, the Burning Brand, the leader of the Knights of Cleansing Flame is one of the most daunting foes one could possibly face. Rumors swirl about her possible identity, but none seem to be more than wild speculation. Nearly the only things concretely known about her are her fighting prowess, her commitment to fulfill the contracts of her Knights, and her close relationships to her fellow members of the Church of Conflagration. Collectively the Cindered Shade, Forsaken Knight, and Flamebearer have begun to be called the Scorching Sorority, with comparisons being made to forces like the Valkyries of Nixalia. It is certainly noteworthy that Elemental Champions from opposing sides are both aligned with the Church of Conflagration. Savvy players of the great game will keep an eye on Scarleria, and more likely than not avoid her if at all possible.
